WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA) and Congressman Mike Gallagher (R-WI) introduced a bipartisan resolution designating the last Saturday of March as “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day.” 

This resolution provides long overdue recognition to thousands of Vietnam War veterans for their dedicated service to our country. The last Saturday of March, which falls on March 25 this year, marks the day when the last U.S. combat troops completed their service and left Vietnam.

WHITTIER – On Tuesday, Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA) delivered a check in the amount of $2,200,000 to the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District (NLMUSD), funding she secured as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023.

The funding Congresswoman Sánchez secured will be used to help NLMUSD build a virtual learning environment, providing students in the Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways, Dual Enrollment, and other programs with access to remote educational materials on demand.

WHITTIER – On Monday, Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA) delivered a check in the amount of $2,200,000 to the City of Santa Fe Springs, funding she secured as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023.

The funding Congresswoman Sánchez secured for the City of Santa Fe Springs will be used to bring Water Well No. 12 into operation and help provide safe, affordable drinking water for residents and businesses.

Sánchez (D-CA) and Ron Estes (R-KS) today introduced the bipartisan Help Independent Tracks Succeed (HITS) Act, a bill that would allow independent music creators – including musicians, technicians, songwriters, and producers – to deduct 100 percent of recording production expenses in the year they are incurred, rather than in later years.
