Sánchez, 390 colleagues introduce bipartisan resolution in support of Israel

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA) joined 390 of her colleagues in the House of Representatives in introducing a bipartisan resolution expressing their support for Israel and condemning the appalling acts of terrorism launched by Hamas this past weekend.

“I want to express my steadfast support for the people of Israel, and my unequivocal condemnation of Hamas and its appalling acts of terrorism. My thoughts are with the hundreds of innocent victims lost to this senseless violence,” said Congresswoman Linda Sánchez. “There is never any justification for terrorism and Hamas must be held accountable – both for the security of Israel and the future of the Palestinian people.”

Congresswoman Sánchez continued: “The safety of American citizens – whether at home or abroad – remains one of my top priorities. My team and I are doing everything in our power to support Californians and their loved ones impacted by these horrific attacks.”

The resolution in the House of Representatives was led by House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) and Ranking Member Gregory W. Meeks (D-NY).
