Appropriations and Community Project Funding Requests

Overview:

The Office of Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez is no longer accepting fiscal year 2026 Community Project Funding and programmatic/language requests. Check back in the future for guidance for fiscal year 2027.

Before requesting community project funding, applicants must review the House Appropriations Committee guidance, which is available here.

Types of Requests:

  • Programmatic Requests: A request for general support or funding for a federal program.

  • Language Requests: A request to add language to the yearly appropriations bill or report to accompany the bill, which often does not include dollar amounts.

  • Community Project Funding Requests: A congressional program where local governments and nonprofits apply for federal funding for a worthy local project. At the end of this page, you will find links to previous years’ Community Project Funding submissions, which may provide you with examples of successful community projects that were eligible for the program.

Tips:

  • Please fill out the entire form. If you have previously communicated with our office about a submission request via an email, call, or meeting, we ask that you still fill out the form.

  • You will need to fill out the Google form in one sitting, as your information will not save.

  • To submit the form: Please fill out the questions in each section and hit submit at the end.

  • For multiple requests: If you have multiple requests, submit a form separately for each request.
