"Korean American Day marks the anniversary of the first Korean immigrants arriving on American soil. 120 years later, Southern California is now home to one of the largest and most vibrant Korean American communities in the country. WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA) issued the following statement on her decision to vote NO on H. Res. 11, a Resolution Establishing the Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP):

WASHINGTON – Early this morning, Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA) was sworn in as the representative for California's 38^th Congressional District in the 118^th Congress. This marks her eleventh term serving the people of Los Angeles and Orange Counties in Southern California.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA), who was inside the Capitol Building when it was attacked on January 6th, 2021, issued the following statement:

"Every day, memories of January 6 play over in my head. I will never forget hiding in a dark room with the door barricaded, watching on television as the mob forced its way into the building, or walking hallways filled with broken glass when we were finally cleared to return to the House floor and certify the election.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (CA-38) voted to pass the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023, a package of twelve government funding bills that will help lower the cost of living for hardworking families, create better-paying jobs, and assist communities most in need. The package also includes emergency supplemental funding to better respond to increasingly catastrophic natural disasters and extreme weather events, as well as emergency resources to support the Ukrainian people.

WASHINGTON – Tonight, Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA), a senior Member on the Ways and Means Committee, voted to publicly release the Committee's investigation of the Internal Revenue Service's (IRS) Mandatory Audit Program under the prior administration. WASHINGTON—Today, Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (CA-38) and Congresswoman Grace F. Napolitano (CA-32) applauded House passage of H.R. 7832, legislation to designate the U.S. Postal Service facility at 396 South California Avenue in West Covina the "Esteban E. Torres Post Office."

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA), a senior Member of the California delegation and a senior Member on the Ways and Means Committee, was named Chief Deputy Whip of the Democratic Caucus for the 118^th Congress.
