WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA) voted for the bipartisan Omnibus Appropriations Agreement, which the Senate passed Thursday night. The Omnibus Appropriations Agreement provides $1.5 trillion in discretionary resources and supplemental funding that will help working families with the cost of living and create American jobs.

WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers, and Grain Millers (BCTGM) International Union Local 37 workers on strike at the Jon Donaire Desserts plant in Santa Fe Springs, California voted to ratify a new collective bargaining agreement with Rich Products Corporation. Since the strike began in November 2021, Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA) has been fighting on behalf of the workers at the Jon Donaire Desserts plant, many of whom are Latina women, for fair wages, high-quality health insurance, and better working conditions.

WASHINGTON – On Saturday, U.S. Representative Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA) joined AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler, LA FED President Ron Herrera, and other local leaders to stand in solidarity with Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers, and Grain Millers (BCTGM) International Union Local 37 at the Jon Donaire Desserts plant in Santa Fe Springs, California.

Since November 3, 2021, more than 100 BCTGM International Union Local 37 workers at Jon Donaire, have been on strike demanding fair working conditions, livable wages, and high-quality health care benefits.

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA) today introduced an annual resolution to designate the week of February 7 through 11 as "National School Counseling Week," something she has done since 2008.

"I am proud to recognize the tireless work of school counselors each year during National School Counseling Week," said Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez. "School counselors not only provide guidance when it comes to college and career choices, but also critical support for students as they navigate the challenges of growing up.

Sánchez (D-CA) visited the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters (SWRCC) to highlight how the recently passed Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) will invest in projects that will rebuild our communities and create good-paying, union jobs.
