Provisions would help small businesses grow and hire new workers
Washington, DC - Rep. Linda Sánchez (CA-39) announced a constitutional amendment today aimed at ensuring that courts do not place corporate interests ahead of those of average Americans. Sánchez’ amendment, which comes in the wake of the January Supreme Court ruling that corporations can use company dollars to influence the democratic process, would ensure that “we the people” can choose to impose limits on political spending by corporations.
Washington, DC - Rep. Linda Sánchez (CA-39), Member of the House Ways and Means Committee, introduced a bill today that would bolster the development of low-income housing. The Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Exchange Expansion and Job Creation Act of 2010 would promote the development of low-income housing by allowing investors to exchange otherwise unusable low-income housing tax credits for cash to be put toward the development of this housing.

Linda Sánchez (CA-39) visited and toured Long Beach Memorial and Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach today and held a roundtable discussion on healthcare with local doctors, nurses, parents, and patients. Rep. Sánchez toured the Emergency Department, Trauma Unit, Family Resource Center, and Pediatric Perioperative Services.
