Community Project Funding Requests for CA-38

Submission deadline is March 26, 2021

This year, the House Appropriations Committee announced a new bi-partisan Community Project Funding initiative that would provide federal funds for projects and programs that will address the most significant needs facing our community.

Who can apply?

  • State, local, and tribal governments.
  • Publicly owned entities (e.g. ports, universities, PUDs, etc.).
  • Non-profit organizations

Only projects that will have a direct impact on California’s 38th Congressional District will be considered. You can verify the Congressional District of your project by clicking here.

Projects requests must show evidence of community engagement and support to qualify.  Examples of these include, but are not limited to:

  • Letters of support from elected community leaders (e.g. mayors or other officials);
  • Press articles highlighting the need for the requested Community Project Funding;
  • Support from newspaper editorial boards;
  • Projects listed on State intended use plans, community development plans, or other publicly available planning documents; or Resolutions passed by city councils or boards.

Members will be limited to no more than 10 requests for FY2022.

All Community Project Funding requests should be submitted to my office by March 26, 2021.

Specific guidance and requirements will depend on the appropriate subcommittee of jurisdiction.

Programmatic and Language Appropriations Requests

If you are an organization requesting support for federally funded programs, please fill out this form for programmatic funding or language requests. Requests must comply with all current House rules.
