Sánchez statement on the retirement of Congressman Tony Cárdenas

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA) issued the following statement regarding the retirement of Congressman Tony Cárdenas:

“Congressman Cárdenas has been a fierce advocate for California and a pathfinder for Latinos for the last three decades.

“His work to reform the state juvenile system and spearhead our efforts to bring a Smithsonian Latino Museum to Washington are just a few examples of what we can do when Congress looks like the districts we represent.

“I will miss my trusted friend and colleague on the House floor and on the baseball diamond.
