Sánchez on President Trump’s Guilty Verdict

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA) released the following statement after former President Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying his business records to illegally hide hush money payments:

“Donald Trump’s corrupt practices have caught up with him.

“This was not a political witch hunt like he and his supporters will continue to falsely claim. Instead, he was charged and found guilty by a jury of his peers.

“This is a sad day for America. But it’s a testament to our legal system that no one, even former presidents, is above the law.”
