Sánchez on President Biden not seeking re-election

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA) released the following statement after President Biden announced he will not seek re-election:

“I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to President Biden for his decades of service to our country. Throughout his career, he exemplified leadership, integrity and an unwavering commitment to justice and equality.

“During his term in office, we have made historic advancements in combating climate change, rebuilding our economy and infrastructure, and uplifting millions of Americans, particularly working-class families and communities of color. He will leave office and public service with a legacy of progressive accomplishments that few presidents can rival in modern history.”
