Sánchez, 91 colleagues urge humanitarian aid for ongoing crisis in Gaza

November 3, 2023

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA), a Vice-President of the United States delegation to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Parliamentary Assembly, joined 91 of her colleagues in sending a letter to House and Senate leaders urging swift passage of President Biden’s request for emergency funding to meet the rising humanitarian needs in Gaza and Israel.

“Amid this ongoing crisis, it is crucial that the United States continue to deliver humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza – including clean water, food, hygiene support, medical care, and other essential needs,” said Congresswoman Linda Sánchez. “As we work towards preventing the spread of this conflict, I support Congress taking quick action together with the Biden Administration to prevent civilian deaths in Gaza and immediately send humanitarian assistance to those impacted.”

Congresswoman Sánchez continued: “At the same time, I am calling for a humanitarian pause so we can get essential, lifesaving aid into Gaza and get innocent civilians out of harm’s way.”
