Sánchez: ‘A traitor to democracy should not profit from it’
WASHINGTON, D.C. – In case you missed it, U.S. Representative Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA) joined Nicolle Wallace on MSNBC’s Deadline: White House Tuesday. During the interview, Congresswoman Sánchez spoke about her experience at the Capitol on January 6, refusal from some Republicans to condemn Trump and the insurrectionists, and her bill, the No Glory for Hate Act, which would prohibit federally funded projects from being named after Donald Trump
As insurrectionists stormed the Capitol, Congresswoman Sánchez told Nicolle Wallace that she was so fearful of violence, she told her husband where he could find her will. While hiding in her office with the lights off and only her Congressional baseball game bats for protection, Congresswoman Sánchez began drafting a bill to ensure that our traitorous now-former President never receives any of the glory or benefits of his former office.
HR 484, The No Glory for Hate Act, would prohibit the use of federal funds for any project commemorating a president twice impeached by the House of Representatives and would further restrict the benefits afforded them after leaving office.
