Sánchez Statement on New Leadership for the House Democratic Caucus

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA) released the following statement following votes to elect a new generation of leadership to the House Democratic Caucus.

"Today, I am proud to stand with my colleagues in the House Democratic Caucus as we elect a new generation of leaders to lead our Caucus and place our confidence in Leader-designate Hakeem Jeffries, Whip-designate Katherine Clark, and Caucus Chair-designate Pete Aguilar.

"This historic moment is made possible by decades of leadership that has always pushed our party to be more representative of the people we serve. I can think of no three Members better than Representatives Jeffries, Clark, and Aguilar to help shape our party's future and lead this Caucus, this Congress, and this Country.
