Sánchez Celebrates Start of LGBTQ+ History Month

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA), Vice Chair of the Congressional LGBTQ+ Equality Caucus, released the following statement in celebration of LGBTQ+ History Month:

"I'm proud to join the LGBTQ+ community in celebrating the start of LGBTQ+ History Month. Throughout the month of October, we will honor the people, places, culture, and moments in history that make up the LGBTQ+ experience—an experience that is often left out of history books," said Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez. "Unfortunately, extreme MAGA politicians and state legislatures are actively trying to advance their hateful agenda. We must stand up for LGBTQ+ Americans—especially our trans and non-binary youth—in the face of these attacks. Together with my colleagues in the Equality Caucus, I will keep fighting to amplify LGBTQ+ voices and protect your right to love and be who you are."
