Rep. Sánchez celebrates Mrs. Elvira Marshall’s 106th Birthday
NORWALK – On Saturday, Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA) joined family members, friends, and neighbors to celebrate Whittier resident Mrs. Elvira V. Marshall's 106th birthday.

Over 100 people attended the celebration, which was held at Neff Park in La Mirada. Congresswoman Sánchez presented Mrs. Marshall with a Certificate of Congressional Recognition in honor of her milestone birthday.
"This past weekend, I had the honor of celebrating Mrs. Elvira Marshall's 106th birthday along with countless loved ones and friends," said Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez. "Mrs. Marshall is a longtime Whittier resident and former teacher. Although she was born before women gained the right to vote, she assured me that she has never missed voting in an election! It was truly a joy to meet Mrs. Marshall, and I wish her continued blessings and good health on this special milestone."
Mrs. Elvira Marshall is a resident of Whittier, CA. She taught school for 23 years in the Valle Lindo Unified School District in South El Monte and has served as a substitute teacher since retiring. Mrs. Marshall has 2 children, 6 grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Currently, she is in good health and enjoying her retirement and family time.
