Linda Sánchez Joins House Democrats to Introduce Social Security 2100 Act

April 5, 2017

Washington, DC – Representative Linda T. Sánchez (CA-38), Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus and a member of the Social Security Subcommittee, today joined House Democrats to introduce Social Security 2100 Act. The measure, led by Rep. John Larson (D-CT), stands to cut taxes for Social Security recipients, provide a benefit bump for current and future beneficiaries, and keep the system strong for generations to come.

"For generations, our nation has lived by a simple promise: Americans who have worked hard their entire lives have the right to retire with dignity and security," said Rep. Linda Sánchez. "To honor a lifetime of work and service, I am proud to join with my colleagues to introduce the Social Security 2100 act which will protect, strengthen, and expand this earned benefit for all hard-working Americans. This legislation will help keep the promise of Social Security for the decades to come."
