Linda Sánchez Celebrates Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (May 1, 2012)

Washington,DC—Congresswoman Linda Sánchez (CA-39) released the following statementtoday in honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month:

"I am incredibly proud to represent cities that are knownthroughout Southern California for their prominent Asian Pacific Americancommunities," said Congresswoman Sánchez. "During Asian PacificAmerican Heritage Month, I congratulate all Asian Pacific Americans fortheir past contributions and continued achievements. I hope we can alltake some time this month to honor and recognize their contributions to thediverse cultural fabric of our country."

CongresswomanSánchez is one of 11 new members of the Congressional Asian Pacific AmericanCaucus (CAPAC). Comprised of 30 congressional members, the caucus works toensure that the concerns and needs of the Asian American Pacific Island (AAPI)community are addressed at the national level.
