Sánchez statement on President Carter’s passing

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-CA) released the following statement on the passing of President Jimmy Carter:

“The passing of President Carter is a tremendous loss for our country. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

“From a Georgia peanut farm to the highest office in the land to building homes with Habitat for Humanity and protecting elections around the world, President Carter served with compassion, humility and a quiet dignity that few can emulate. May his life spent in service to others be an inspiration for all of us.”
